• SHOPPING & SPA SPECIALS In late 2003, Aventura Mall welcomed Aldo, Bag N Baggage, Cheeky Baby & Kids, Diesel, Kenneth Cole, Lladro, Lola Blue and Marmi. In January 2004, Aventura Mall welcomed Miss Sixty and Urban Outfitters to its family. Soon to arrive this spring are Apple and Color Me Mine. By fall 2004, Burdines and Macy's department stores will become one and Burdines-Macy's will take over the 225,000 square-foot Burdines and the 252,000 square-foot Macy's. The new stores will operate a divided-store format where the former Macy's store will be devoted to fashion apparel for women and children and the former Burdines store will be reconfigured to focus on men's apparel, furniture, home appliances and accessories. The Burdines store plans to shut down temporarily by the end of May and reopen in time for the holiday season. Opening soon at Bal Harbour Shops are Just Cavalli and David Yurman (summer 2004). recently opened the first Erwin Pearl jewelry store in Miami featuring
fashionable jewelry at affordable prices. In February, Bayside opened a
new 200-seat Chili’s Restaurant with an open-air balcony and waterfront
seating, as well as a new concept, the Chili’s Margarita Bar.
Additionally, Bayside has redeveloped their popular group dine-around
program to provide group dining options at fixed prices while allowing
